A Website Built by Creatives for Creatives

Colonial Homes is an apartment community whose primary demographic is art students and creatives, due to its proximity to several nearby post-grad art and design schools in Atlanta. The community is primarily populated by artists, designers, photographers, musicians, writers, and animators. As part of a rebranding effort, the property management wanted to focus on a younger, hipper, and more creative look for its new website to resonate with this audience.

To appeal to creative types, I designed a unique and memorable website, that utilizes bold photography and parallax scrolling to create a layered and multi-dimensional feel to the site. A complex typographical layering effect was used as a design element that plays on the creative, artistic nature of the community and its residents. By utilizing responsive web design, the website looks and feels great on any device it’s viewed on.
